The Chichaklou base and precious metals mineralization is located 20 km east of Takab and is part of the Takab–Takht-e-Soleiman–Angouran subzone within the Sanandaj-Sirjan zone. In this area, mineralization is observed in the northern and southern parts, hosted by Precambrian-Cambrian marbles. In the northern part, mineralization comprises four silicified-iron hydroxide zones trending northeast-southwest with lengths between 50 to 200 meters and thicknesses averaging 2 meters that crosscut the bedding and foliation of the host marble units. In the southern part, mineralization consists of one silicified-sulfide zone and one barite vein crosscutting the marble units. The silicified-sulfide zone trends northeast-southwest and extends approximately 300 meters in length and 2-3 meters in width. The barite vein, trending northeast-southwest has a length of about 50 meters and a width of up to 0.5 meters. Mineralization is categorized into six stages. Stages 1 and 2 involve decarbonatization and dolomitization of the host marbles, respectively. Stage 3 includes silicification and sulfidation of the host marbles along with pyrite, free gold, galena, sphalerite (replaced by smithsonite), and minor barite, associated with quartz (Qz1) and calcite (Cal1). Stage 4 involves barite vein formation. Stage 5 is characterized by late-stage calcite (Cal2) and quartz (Qz2) veinlets. Stage 6 corresponds to supergene processes. The hydrothermal alterations include decarbonatization, dolomitization, silicification, and carbonate alterations. The ore mineralogy in the northern silicified-iron hydroxide zone includes pyrite, free gold, goethite, calcite, quartz, and dolomite, while the southern silicified-sulfide zone comprises pyrite, galena, cerussite, smithsonite, goethite, calcite, barite, quartz, and dolomite. Ore textures include vein-veinlet, brecciated, disseminated, vug infill, colloform, crustiform, bladed, replacement, and residual. Base and precious metals mineralization at Chichaklou is a low-sulfidation epithermal deposit.
