Abstract

In this paper, trying to study and combine fractal geometry and correspondence analysis for stream sediment samples of Khoosf area. About 170 stream sediment samples analyzed for 20 elements, by correspondence analysis samples and variables considered simultaneously. According to correspondence analysis, separation of one or several elements from another element is the reason for anomalous value in the study area, a lot of samples led to this anomaly and show tendency towards elements. According to correspondence analysis at Khoosf area, Pb, Cd and As elements have been determined as anomaly. After kind of anomaly recognition, finding situation of anomaly by 1000m×1000m grid estimation and then using fractal geometry method on estimated data was done. By variography the best model have been fitted at WinGslib user friendly software. Afterward an estimated grid sampling was designed in the region by varigram specification. Three statistical datasets were determined by fractal geometry, and third dataset show the anomaly for Pb, Cd and As elements. The separation value for Pb, As and Cd respectively about 55, 7.2 and 0.88 ppm was determined.
